      GRAND RAPIDS. Nov 30. -- Mrs. Margaret Benton has received word that her son John has been made a second lieutenant. He is in France. Wayne Gilbert, who was on his way to Paris, met him recently and they spent a Sunday together. The meeting was accidental and wholly unexpected.
