To the far right, just left of the Rideau River, is the cemetery in Sandy Hill, with different sections for different religious denominations (1=Church of Rome, 2=Church of Dissent, 3=Church of Scotland, 4=Church of England). James Lahey's wife Ann Armstrong was buried in the Catholic section of this cemetery on 19 Dec 1839. Presumably her remains were moved to Notre Dame Cemetery in the 1870s.

Household of Eugene McCarthy, 1881
Household of Eugene McCarthy, 1881
From the 1881 census. Note the age gap between the children. The marriage of Eugene McCarthy and Anne McDonald was a second marriage for both parties, and each spouse had children from a first marriage. Ellen McCarthy and Catherine McCarthy are the only children from the marriage of Eugene McCarthy and Anne McDonald. The other McCarthy children (Jeremiah, James, Mary, John) come from his first marriage (to Catherine Traynor), while the Mahoney children (here spelled as Mahaney) come from her first marriage to David Mahoney. Mary J Mahoney and Annie Mahoney are not servants in this household. They are daughters of Anne McDonald who work as servants in someone else's household.
